Overview
The Poster Database (TPDb) is where Plex users go to find poster art. We handle its design: the logo, the social posts, a 3D version of the icon, and now the next version of the site.
Identity
The logo is a stack of posters inside a hexagon. It’s simple enough to work as a favicon and still reads as posters at a glance.
Social templates
We built templates the team fills in on their own, for featured posters and Pro promotions. The frames stay dark so the posters do the talking.
The 3D icon
We rebuilt the icon in 3D with the layers as frosted glass, then animated it with sound for launch posts.
Product UI
We’re designing the next version of the site with the TPDb team. The sign-in and poster rating screens below are from the alpha.
